A 2-STOREY SIDE EXTENSION AND INTERNAL REMODELING TO CAMDEN MEWS
Mr and Mrs Wilson felt the existing layout of their house didn't reflect their lifestyle as well as it should. With all the living space on the first floor the kitchen area was located toward the back of the house in the darkest corner. It was also too small, considering the amount of guests they regularly entertain. So the brief was to relocate the kitchen, moving it from the dark, forgotten corner to a more prominent location in the house and make it large enough to contain a large group of people. The spacious living room then flows from the kitchen, which is also connected to a large dining area. New WC facilities were also added to the first floor as previously a trip to the lavatory involved a flight of stairs.
The ground floor additions include a double bedroom with en-suite facilities (with steam room) and at the top the roof terrace offers hazy views across Camden Town on long summers evenings.
